Imagine: Ballet Star is a game in Ubisoft's Imagine series which is a series targeted at young girls that allow you to have different careers like an artist, figure skater, a fashion designer, and many others. Imagine: Ballet Star is the 18th game in the Imagine series and was released in America November 18th, 2008.
Imagine: Ballet Star is a rhythm and otome game where you are one of 3 girls (Keira Tendo, Swan Nayvous, or Margarete Itsumura) and you train in the form of rhythm games to prepare yourself to perform for a large audience at a contest every 2-3 months (the game uses months as a unit of time). The first month when learning a new performance is dedicated to training and then usually the month after practicing is the contest if not the month after that. The main rhythm aspect of the game where you tap or trace various objects on the screen, there are also many different mini games you can play to earn different rewards in game (more minigame details here)
In Japan, the game was titled Princess Ballerina and was released December 18th, 2008 (a month later than America). Japan's version of the game included four playable characters instead of three (Keira, Swan, Margarete, and Naomi) where in the other regions the game is in such as America, Australia, and Europe, Naomi is more of a side character where she plays the role of Keira's best friend.
